Bruce Golino, the principal of Santa Cruz
Olive Tree Nursery, has been involved in various aspects of Central California
agribusiness for the past 25 years. In 1994 he founded the Santa Cruz Olive Tree
and Oil Company, leveraging his knowledge and passion for agriculture into a
passion for olive tree selection, propagation and olive oil
production.
As olive oil production expands in California and throughout the temperate regions of the US the range of olive varieties is also expanding. It is crucial to select the right varietal types to meet the goals of producing rich and flavorful olive oil in high yield for your particular soil and climate.
